A Coastline Ending have written a really driving, upbeat and mood lifting debut. They don't try to do anything out of the ordinary, sticking to the catchy song melodic rock with keyboards and fancy guitar lines that have made a lot of bands popular recently. A Coastline Ending have a more fun element than a lot of their peers, adding some extra enjoyment to their sound.
It might just be the keyboards, but I'm reminded of a Chiodos without the screaming, a sound that I think really works. They've got the emotional build ups and everything, but its done in a more straightforward melodic pop rock style. There is a lot of strong lead guitar work, which combines well with the creative sounds coming out of the keyboard (I especially like it when the keys come out of nowhere with some stellar work). The super catchy vocals add to make this a big three worthy of the Boston Celtics, and they've got a solid rhythm section backing them up.
This band is relatively small right now, but they are the type of band that is going to come out of nowhere to surprise a lot of people. They're the unknown band you see at Warped Tour every year that blows you away. They've got the skills and now they're just waiting for the ears.
