This album is over before it even begins, which is neither a good nor bad thing; it just is. I press play and the EP seems to be over almost immediately. The songs are good, leaving me wanting more, a loftly achievement for most bands.
The songs, with the exception of verse raggae Clash worship "Little Brother," are mid paced melodic punk numbers; a mellower version of The Loved Ones. This is, for a punk band, a pretty relaxing album. The songs have light distortion and focus on the melodies more than anything. There are many parts to sing along to, and the duel vocals of Jack and Chicken work very well together.
I would like to think that this five song EP is a teaser for a 2009 release, but I don't know for sure. This is an album that sticks with me more than Cuban Ballerina did, and I look forward to more catchy songs in the future.
