Full Blown Chaos-Full Blown Chaos
Metal Blade
February 1, 2011
Tough guy hardcore doesn’t pull too many punches. Its actually the predictability that I’ve come to enjoy. You’ll probably never catch these style bands “maturing” or changing their sound. The listener knows what to expect with every album, and there’s something comforting in that. The guitars will always be chugging, the singer will always sound about a scream away from mandatory anger management and the drummer will always be making good use of the double bass pedal. Most importantly, the breakdowns will always induce pain, but a good kind of pain (at least for people that like getting beat up in a mosh pit).
Full Blown Chaos have not changed one bit. This is still the same tough guy style of hardcore that they’ve been playing since their inception. While this may not bring them any new fans (besides ones just getting into the genre), their already solid fan base will be salivating as they open the shrink wrap of the CD or wait until the album is fully downloaded. There’s nothing to throw anyone for a loop, and its this routine that I find most enjoyable.
