Thrash metal fans would be fools not to pick up this fine slab of double bass induced drumming, shredding riffs and harsh vocals that aren't too brutal. These four guys from Tokyo have done their homework and studied the pioneers of the genre, all of which shines like the sun on Worship.
Being a thrash metal band, its obvious that they know how to play their instruments. They are able to keep things interesting, although tempos are sometimes a little slower than I would like, but I can live with that. They add some interesting bridges that wouldn't normally be heard in thrash metal, but it breaks everything up quite nicely. The vocals Manabu Hirose remind me of a mixture between Slayer and early Metallica, featuring enough pulse to keep things on the edge of its seat.
This is an album made by lovers of thrash metal for lovers of thrash metal. It pretty much nails the genre, and if thats what you're into, then this will be quite the treat. Fans of metal in general might want to give grief of WAR a listen as well, as they have some pretty good stuff going on throughout their songs that makes for a good listen.
