Jeff Rowe-New Winter, New England
Anchorless

I’m really impressed with this album, finding more things to like every time I listen to it. Jeff Rowe’s voice is strong and melodic, with vocal lines that are easy and fun to sing along to. The guitar work is good, but the focus is on the vocals here, and Rowe shines.
Rowe proves that he is a true singer/songwriter on New Winter, New England. He’s not reviving anything and he’s not writing acoustic songs specifically for punks to enjoy. Rowe is writing honest acoustic songs that are catchy and a good time to listen to. This is an album that has a wide appeal and could reach a much larger audience with a little bit of luck.
This is another fine offering from punk rocker turned solo artist Jeff Rowe. This is an album that holds up on its honesty and integrity alone. There’s no need for Rowe to be anything he’s not. He writes songs for himself; the listeners are just along for the ride.
