Fast is probably the best way to describe the new offering from Origin. They start off blast and don't let up the speed. Even the breakdowns are featuring double bass drumming that sounds similar to an army on foot. I'm not a metronome, but I do know that the tempos are high up there and full of mind numbing technicality.

Origin have turned into more than a blast grind band. Antithesis sounds more death metal than previous albums, reminding me of Dying Fetus, albeit a faster one, more than anything. The musical talent is at an all time high, one of the most musically technical albums I've heard all year. The guitars never let up, the vocals hit high and low growls that one might think unfathomable, and the drumming is clearly amazing.

Listening to Origin is like watching a high speed race in fast forward. Everything speeds by at an amazing pace, leaving me tired and wondering how the hell they pull it off. This is musicianship at its damn near best. It also makes for some great death metal.
