Ruiner-I Heard These Dudes Are Assholes

The thing that strikes me most about Ruiner is the sense of urgency that screams out during each song. These guys pound through super fast hardcore songs and make each sound so important, like a life or death situation. The vocals are tense and the music is tight, with breakneck speed that ensnared me from the first note.

These dudes know how to write a good hardcore song, which is what it all boils down to. They have some melodic guitar lines, breakdowns, sing alongs, an intense vocalist and a drummer that can play fast as hell. These songs, which features previously released but now out of print material, are the textbook version of hardcore that I want to listen to again and again. This is as good as Prepare to Be Let Down, so bring some extra cash and pick up both albums at the record store.
