Self Made Soul -The Future Belongs to Us

While they play a tight brand of driving alternative pop, I'm not into Self Made Soul. Their songs, while having the aura of energy, fall very flat, leaving me yearning for something more. They are a band that is lacking a personality, as there is nothing about them that sticks out. Yes, the songs are put together well, but there isn't enough emotion to attract my attention.

Though I'm not really a fan of Self Made Soul, I can see them attracting a small yet loyal audience. A number of people who enjoy the poppy alternative of Third Eye Blind with a tint of indie post hardcore will get a sense of enjoyment out of these guys. They're far from terrible, just not my thing.
