The Academy Is...-Fast Times at Barrington High
Fueled by Ramen

I've always felt that The Academy Is... was a band that was underrated. Granted, they have a pretty big fanbase and are on a popular record label, but they craft such great pop rock songs that they never seem to get enough credit for (and I include myself in this criticism). They seem to be a band that people overlook when they should be all over the radio, stealing the hearts of the teenage crowd, as each of their songs are infectious as the one before it.

This is a band that makes great use of the chorus. This is where they go the extra mile, making the songs memorable. The lyrics aren't all that hard to remember and William Beckett sings them in a way that will having people joining him by the second chorus. The music itself doesn't do much out of the ordinary, sticking to safe pop rock, but its played with a good amount of energy.

Fast Times at Barrington High is an enjoyable album that is catchy and lasting. These songs are all high quality from a band that should be much more popular.
