This Providence-Who Are You Now?

Enjoyment wise, I would say that this is about the same as their previous full length (I guess they put out an EP that shot by me). They're still playing a somewhat indie pop party mix, relying on the chorus to give them that extra push. The sound isn't as big as their previous effort, but that works to their advantage, as their strength lies in their slow and sad songs. "Sand in Your Shoes," "Chasing the Wind," and "Somebody to Talk To" are my three favorite tracks, and its the downplayed emotion that draws me to them. Their other songs work well enough, even though they sometimes dabble in too many styles, giving them a more confusing sound than anything else, but I think This Providence has found their niche in the tearjerkers (for lack of a better term).
