I think my back really hates Victory bands. This is the second time that my back started hurting causing me to miss seeing and interviewing a Victory band (Action Action was the first). Instead of going to see Dead to Fall, I sat home on a heating pad watching "Jerry Maguire."

This interview was done via Email since I wasn't able to interview them in person. Its pretty entertaining and I decided to stop making capitalization corrections to the interview because he seemed like he was pretty drunk when he typed this.

1. Introduce yourself.

I am Jonathan Hunt and i sing in Dead to Fall. I am a Leo, and enjoy moonlight strolls along a waterfront. I also enjoy a good cranberry juice.

2. After members quit Dead to Fall, what made you decide to keep the band going instead of starting a new band?

Justin and I (the remaining members) had put quite a few years of work into DTF and we had a pretty strong fanbase in place, as well as a strong label supporting us so it made more sense to just continue on the same track we were on.

3. How difficult was it to replace members of the band and was it a stroke of luck that Antone Jones rejoined the band?

It was difficult at first, but with enough try-outs and patience we found the right people for the job. This was actually the 3rd time antone had been in DTF he was an original member, quit to focus on his work and family, rejoined for a brief time mainly to help write the finishing touches and record EITFTP. He left at that point because of his unavailablity to tour. He rejoined the band to write/record Villainy & Virtue when we were in desperate need of a guitar plaeyr. Antone has helped write all but one song in the entire exsistance of dead to fall, so was and is a crucial part of DTF.

4. Would you rather do a headlining tour or a support tour for a popular band?

I guess a support slot, since we don't get those that often. I enjoy being able to put our music out to a wide audience as well. Headlining tours are fun as well though, becuase we get to play a longer set, and pee on more people. (sorry, Matt just walked into the van to announce he had stepped in a puddle and need new socks, he is drunk as shit)

5. Whats the best way to remedy a stressful day?

Sleep, and lots of it. Whenever i get stressed out i put in my earplugs and sleep for however long i can which varies depedning on if im on tour or if im at home. I think im turning into a zombie though.

6. Are you a Cubs fan (if not, skip question)? If so, how do you feel about Sammy Sosa being traded (for a backup second baseman and two scrub minor leaguers)?

I am more of a Bears/football fan then a baseball fan, but i would have to say that its obviously a very bad idea. The Cubs have had some pretty near runs in the past few years and i think Sammy was a cornerstone of the team. But what do i know, I have a rock band stuck in my ear.

a) Is there any chance of Chicago bands getting together to make some Cubs fight songs to help them win a World Series?

I talked with Heather at Victory once and trying to get a Dead to Fall song to play when the bears take the field. That would be amazing. I may cream my pants.

7. Whats one little known fact about Chicago?

That we have the highest population of little people second to Akler, Bulgaria. Akler is a town in Bulgaria where 45% of the population are midgets legally. That would be amazing, but yeah Chicago has a lot for sure.

8. What was your favorite childhood movie?

"Flight of the Navigator." My mom taped it off the Disney Channel on one those free previews, and i would watch it all the time.

9. Name one album, besides your own, that you think all kids should have in their collection.

Duh, At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul, or Opeth - Deliverence/Damnation.

10. Final comments.

Don't try to drink youre own pee straight from the source you will end up peeing all over yourself.
