Dropkick Murphys - The Warrior's Code
Hell Cat (2005)

A great album to blast through the airways, I checked out the Dropkick Murphys’ new offering. This CD could be dedicated to everyone with great personal, emotional or physical strength. It honors everyone from those able to live without a partner, to soldiers, and even the Boston Red Sox!

A few of the new songs were quieter than past tunes, but they stayed good. Bagpipes were a main fixture in this album. Upon giving this disc more listens, each song seemed to grow on me, including a song I heard on a past album, rightly titled "The Burden," as it explained the character’s life situation, how he got through obstacles and surprised everyone in the end.

I can relate to almost all the songs on this CD, making it a great buy. I plan on listening to it for many days to come. I recommend buying this to any fans of the Dropkick Murphys, Irish music (as some songs on this album sounded similar to traditional Irish songs), or just plain amazing lyric-and-music writing.
