January 29, 2012
I'm very excited about the Patriots being in the Super Bowl. My dilemna is figuring out if I'm going to stay for the entire Ducky Boys show and possibly miss kick off or watch the game at the Providence Social Club.
January 25, 2012
I apologize for the site being down for a few days. I didn't know that the domain expired, but everything is back up and I will have plenty of promises of reviews and interviews to come.
January 15, 2012
The first 2012 release to get real excited about (even though For the Good Times by The Little Willies snuck up and surprised me) will be Clear Heart Full Eyes by Craig Finn. The first single, "New Friend Jesus," is pretty great. Check it out here.
January 15, 2012
Even though I was at a venue with no television and watched the game on somebody's laptop, the Patriots game was awesome last night. I'm hoping they can do the same thing next week against the Ravens or Texans.
January 11, 2012
The site has been renewed for another two years. Bring it on.
January 1, 2012
I'm on a huge Muppet kick. I've been listening to their music non stop and am looking forward to enjoying the Muppet movies I just got: "Muppet Christmas Carol," "The Great Muppet Caper" and "The Muppet Show Season 1." Its good to have things to look forward to.
January 1, 2012
A new year is upon us and I'm looking forward to everything it may bring. There promises to be a slew of great releases, including Propagandhi, Dying Fetus, Cheap Girls, Against Me! and a bunch more I can't think of right now. It should be good.
December 27, 2011
I'm conflicted on whethere to keep the site going or not. I have until January 6, 2012 to decide to renew the hosting site for another two years. Updates have been slow lately, which is mostly due to lack of time and using two computers. I am going to think long and hard about this. This site has been an important part of my life for years, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to let it go. Be on the lookout for show reviews and the Year End Review. Hopefully I can beat the clock.
December 12, 2011
Scheduling is always a bitch, and the closing of Club Hell in Providence, RI now has me missing the Grey Area/Ignite show. I'm pretty bummed about this, but I'm hoping I'll catch it the next day in Connecticut.
December 4, 2011
December may be one of the craziest months, with Christmas and the start of winter, which can lead to bad weather. I am surprised that there aren't many shows going on in December. I'm excited about seeing Ignite and Grey Area, but thats about it thats coming locally.
November 29, 2011
Be on the lookout for some new reveiws, as well as show reviews of Drag the River, NOFX and Sick of it All. Times are busy, but these will get done. Its almost end of the year time as well, so be on the lookout for that (I guess I've given up on the Quarterly Reviews this year, though I may just post them really late).
November 22, 2011
Complete exhaustion made my decision of seeing Chuck Ragan or Supersuckers and Nashville Pussy much easier, as I skipped them both, staying in to watch The Office and three quarters of the Jets loss to the Broncos. I heard Chuck Ragan was good, but I was told that both the Supersuckers and Nashville Pussy were disappointedly average.
November 13, 2011
I recently picked up Sad Bear by Tony Sly. I'm on my first listen, and I'm enjoying it, but I would much rather have No Use for a Name come play a show in Rhode Island, or even New England. They don't come here much, and I've missed their few rare appearances.
November 13, 2011
In what turned out to be one of the saddest weeks I've had in a long time, if not ever, I'd like to thank music for helping me get through these troubling times. Its crazy how much of an escape music can be.

A message from Newbury Comics co-founder Mike Dreese:
Newbury Comics-No Future?!
Our Company is approaching a long awaited crossroads. Behind us is our storied past of bringing cutting edge music to a highly enthusiastic, and very loyal customer base.
When John and I opened our then tiny store front on Newbury Street in 1978, we had no idea the ride we were in for! Over the ensuing years, we built stores all across the region, worked with hundreds of the most interesting and creative people you could imagine, and in the process impacted the cultural perspective of New England.
We have sold over 90 million records, CDs and DVDs, had hundreds of artist in-store appearances and employed perhaps 2400 different people through the years.
We have out lived, out witted and out lasted The Coop, Strawberries, Lechmere, NE Music City, Tower Records, HMV, Popcorn, Good Vibrations, Virgin Megastore, Circuit City and now sadly, Borders. We are left competing at Brick and Mortar with the likes of Wal-Mart and Target, and what remains of Best Buy's and FYE's media offerings.
Looking forward, we can see we surely must morph, or slowly die. There simply isn't enough remaining customer demand to support more than a handful of our stores in a few years if we don't change our mixture of goods.
Many of you have continued to support us, even as your own music consumption has shifted to online options. All of you have noticed our not so subtle shift in emphasis from pure music, to music and DVD, to now at times an odd mixture of new and used CDs + DVDs, combined with an increasing amount of pop culture and fashion items.
We recently launched a new "hybrid" store in the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, moving our store from across the street. Yeah, I know, malls kinda suck sometimes. This store features way more fashion than we have ever presented. The results are very encouraging so far, with CD + DVD sales up, along with a very strong increase in other non media categories.
We have also built our web efforts to the point where they represent 25% of our total sales, mainly through eBay, Amazon, and Punk.com. These web sales help support our overall cost structure, and may be a potential future path for the entire company.
We are right now in the process of building another hybrid superstore in the Natick Mall. The next 6 months will be critical in determining whether we have a brick and mortar store concept which will survive the steady decline in CD + DVD sales we are now experiencing in all of our other locations.
I know we can't turn back the clock, and I know we have to change dramatically over the next 3 years. The question is - What to do?! I always say the 3 most important words in business are "I don't know!" Here's to hoping we can figure it out.
I would very much appreciate it if you could provide us with some feedback on our future.
Please fill out the survey below and send any additional thoughts you might have to me directly to mike@newburycomics.com. Thanks so much for both your honest feedback and your support over all these years!
mike dreese
ceo and co-founder
Newbury Comics has been one of my favorite stores since my early teens and has turned me on to so much music. While I don't go there as much anymore, and am guilty of downloading a lot more music than buying CDs, its still sad to think that time may be running out on the physical store. I like how they're adapting to the new way, and hope that keeps the stores up and running for many years to come.
November 6, 2011
The New England area has really been hit with power outages lately. I haven't lost power, but I have lost cable, phone and internet a few times. This has cause there to be even less of an update than usual. Things should be back to normal now, with reviews trickling in like a leaky faucet.
October 24, 2011
Finding out that the Frank Turner show in Boston sold out leaves me quite bummed. I mostly wanted to see Andrew Jackson Jihad. Have fun, Boston.
October 24, 2011
Last week featured a lot of crazy, which is why not much was done to the site. It also turns out I missed The Menzingers, which is a band I really like.
October 10, 2011
Of course you want to hear new Ducky Boys. Their new album, Chasing the Ghost, hits shelves in January. I'm excited.
October 10, 2011
I am nearly done with a live NOFX review and will eventually start a Drag the River live review. I will also be doing Quarterly Reviews soon and who knows what else.
October 3, 2011
You've got to love Lambgoat, for this. I love Shane Mclachlan's response, and the comments are good for a slight chuckle.
September 27, 2011
$40 to see Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan is ridiculous.
September 18, 2011
Landscaping with my brother-in-law at a nearly abandoned cemetary in the tough area of Providence was an eye opening experience. I accidentally took apart a shelter made out of sticks (I didn't realize it until I was almost done), and picked up more than my fair share of needles and crack pipes. There were also some beautiful graves, one complete with its own bench, and a good amount of dead freemasons. I plan on doing some research about this cemetary in the near future.
September 11, 2011
My NFL preview is now up, and the predictions are a little crazy. Enjoy and make sure to come back and see how wrong I was. It is great to have football back. More stuff to come soon.
September 11, 2011
I really love what advertisers did to remember September 11, 2001. The best was from Budweiser, which had the clydesdales walking through New York and bowing their heads where the Twin Towers would be. I got choked up with all of the commericals, but that one was the best.
September 4, 2011
I didn't get hit all that hard by hurricane Irene, only losing power for about 12 hours, but I did lose cable and internet for most of the week. This explains the lack of updates. This week, prepare yourself for an NFL Preview, a Quarterly Review (late, I know), and an interview with Larry and His Flask.
August 22, 2011
I'm very excited about this upcoming football season, especially with the Patriots looking good. Here's hoping the season doesn't end in disappointment like their last few have. Be on the lookout for my annual Football Preview.
August 15, 2011
Another week and another failure at time management. I'll figure out my time soon and write some album reviews and other stuff. Interview questions were sent to World/Inferno Friendship Society and Larry and His Flask. Hopefully those come back and get posted soon. Keep coming back to check.
August 8, 2011
The new Bomb the Music Industry album is pretty good, but a departure from past albums. Its fun, but it definitely sounds like an adult party instead of the wild teenage/college romps that their albums used to sound like.
August 1, 2011
Not having the money to go to Boston to see Off With Their Heads and Dead to Me is a real bummer. I wish this show took place a month later. On the bright side, there's a lot of great bands coming through Rhode Island in the next few months.
July 25, 2011
Having a job has left me with less time than I thought. Reviews, interviews and the Quarterly Review are coming soon.
July 17, 2011
Netlix not working really makes for an annoying night.
July 11, 2011
AOL Spinner will be well worth your time this week. You can find yourself slightly disappointed by Gregory Attonito's solo debut, Natural Disaster, or be impressed with Damnesia, Alkaline Trio's reimagining of songs from their catalogue. R.E.M. also has an album for streaming, and I'm sure I'll find some other gems as well.
July 5, 2011
Hot Water Music signing to Rise Records threw me for a loop, but only a small one. Rise is starting to do the opposite of Epitaph, as far as signing bands with "cred" go. Rise is just now starting to build up a good punk rock roster (Sharks, HWM, Man Overboard-who are growing on me) to add to the screamo money makers they have on their roster.
June 28, 2011
Propagandhi are working on new songs. Check out an amazing clip here.
June 28, 2011
This has been a pretty great week, made all the better because I'm still on a high from the Bruins win. Seeing the Bouncing Souls three out of the four nights was an absolute blast, and I got a job to boot. Expect reviews of the show and an interview with Jack Terricloth of World/Inferno Friendship Society soon.
June 21, 2011
Congratulations to the Boston Bruins for winning the Stanely Cup last week. I went to the parade, which was amazing, and have been on a high all week. Sports, like music, is an escape with the ability to make problems disappear temporarily.
June 14, 2011
Against Me released a two song single via Sabot. Its their first recorded material with their new ball of fire Jay Weinberg behind the kit, and the songs are pretty great. You can buy it here. Now I just need to pick up Total Clarity.
June 7, 2011
AOL has a lot of great albums up for streaming, including Frank Turner and Nick 13. Check it out here.
May 29, 2011
Being in bed for the past two days has not been a very fun experience. I have been taking advantage of Netflix for Playstation 3. Today, I watched some "Law and Order SVU," "The Human Centipede (First Sequence)," "The Other Guys," "Beyond the Mat," and "The Other Guys." Everything mentioned is well worth checking out.
May 22, 2011
Everyone knows that the rapture never came, but that doesn't mean that this isn't one of the most brilliant public relations campaigns in recent memory. The Family Bible Radio people were able to exploit a lot of people's fear of the unknown, turning this potential event into one of the most talked about things since the death of Bin Laden. They also benefitted financially from this, raising over 100 million dollars, and I'm sure they're going to be selling T shirts, turning a huge profit in the process.
May 8, 2011
Happy Mother's Day to any mom that has given life.
May 3, 2011
I understand you lead a busy life, but you might want to take some time to go to a record store and buy the new album from The Dwarves. If you can't make it to a record store for a physical copy, Amazon has it on sale for only $7.99.
May 3, 2011
I'm still suffering with a bad internet connection, but I have been able to update the site here and there.
April 26, 2011
A shoddy internet connection has made it very hard to update the site these past few days, which is a bummer because I have a lot of stuff to add. I'll be keeping things to a posting minimum in fear of getting booted offline, but look forward to show reviews of Subhumans, Larry and His Flask and Lemuria, as well as a slew of album reviews and an interview with Lemuria. I will be trying to set up more interviews this week as well, which should give people even more reading to look forward to.
April 17, 2011
I hope everyone had a wonderful Record Store Day. I lucked out and got the only Bouncing Souls Live at Generation Records album at my localest Newbury Comics. I also picked up Griller from The Frustrators. I'm wishing I picked up a few other things, like Transit and Off's live album, but I'm altogether pretty happy with what I got.
March 14, 2011
Another year brought about more delays for the site. I lost the domain name for a brief period. I'm still not sure how I got it back, but The Playlist is back on and raring to go. Be on the lookout.
January 9, 2011
I would have given Family Guy huge props if they actually killed off Brian in an episode. It would have been weird without him, but its the type of show that toys with the audience, and that would have gotten everybody talking.
January 9, 2011
In case anyone didn't realize it yet, it is now 2011. We've already had birds fall from the sky and dead fish wash up on the shore. Let the games begin.
December 20, 2010
Being sick is not a good time. I'm hoping tomorrow I can go to the doctor's, relax in bed listening to music while writing reviews.
December 13, 2010
Be on the lookout for some upcoming interviews I'm hoping to set up. Should be some good stuff. I'm also compiling my Year End Review, which won't be as extensive as years past, but should still be a decent read.
December 6, 2010
I apologize that this site went MIA the past few months. I did get a new computer, but I haven't been able to transfer the programs over to the new computer. I'm hoping to get that done soon. It has been a crazy few months personally, but I'm hoping to keep the site up to date from now on. I should have some album reviews and hopefully some show reviews on the way, as well as my 2010 NFL Preview, which should be fun to see towards the end of the season (I wrote down teams' projected records, and I've been pretty wrong so far).
August 15, 2010
I was not able to get a new computer, due to the fact that I have no money, so I'm gonna work on this slow as hell computer that doesn't work all that well. I'm still hoping to get a new computer soon, but I will start updating the site. Still to come is the Quarterly Review for April-June, a bunch of live reviews and some album reviews. Please don't hold your breath waiting.
June 1, 2010
I know I haven't been updating the site much at all, but my computer hasn't been working right lately. Its old enough to be a second grader, which is damn near retirement in computer age. Because of this, I'm not going to be updating the site until I get a new computer, which should be by the end of the month. Wish me luck.
April 13, 2010
Its been awhile since I updated this page, but this isn't really a news site. No excuses though. Be on the lookout for my 2010 MLB Preview and my Quarterly Review. I have them all hand written in a notebook. I just need to find said notebook now.
December 21, 2009
Some of the line up for Warped 2010 has been announced, and I must admit that I'm a little bummed. There are some good bands on the list, but nothing that makes me jump off the edge of my seat. My fingers are crossed that Pennywise will join the bill with Zoli fronting them.
November 23, 2009
A lot of decent new music has crossed my path on my never ending search for good music. Here are some notable bands that I've either discovered in the past week or have posted some new material recently:
Deadly Animals- featuring ex-drummer of ETID. Sounds like Antennae-era Cave In with some post hardcore screaming.
Legend-Very heavy, mix of metal and hardcore, signs to Rise. Rise is turning into a powerhouse of a label with good signings.
The new Whiskey & Co song is as good as I could ever hope for. I can't wait for their new album to drop.
Last but not least: No Friends-A fast hardcore band featuring members of Municipal Waste and New Mexican Disaster Squad, live up to the quality of music that you would expect after reading those two band names.
You can also stream the new In the Red and Small Brown Bike albums at the No Idea website.
Some great music seems to be on its way as well. 2010 is looking to be a pretty good year.
November 15, 2009
The flu is not a very fun thing to have, especially when it means missing Neko Case because of it. On the bright side, ALL is playing The Middle East in Cambridge, MA on January 6 with Off With Their Heads. Off With Their Heads are also touring with Brutal Truth, Municipal Waste and Phobia, on their way to prove that they can fit in with everyone.
September 14, 2009
People suck and can do terrible things to their peers sometimes. Remember that.
September 14, 2009
In lighter news, NFL football kicks off today (Thursday's game didn't count, in my opinion-and I'm actually trying to forget that that day ever happened, though that has nothing to do with football). My predictions are all hand written in a notebook (with potential team records), and hopefully that will get posted to the site along wtih everything else I'm behind on. I wish your team the best of luck.
August 31, 2009
I constantly need to apologize for not updating this site as much as I should. My computer did break, but everything is fixed now and I'm hoping to get my act together, which includes updating this site regularly, sharing my passion for music with anyone on the net willing to read about it. My fingers are crossed.
August 31, 2009
I'm sure you know about these already, but I would be doing a disservice to people if I didn't post these awesome downloads. The kind people at Suburban Home have posted Drag the River's Live at the Starlight for free. My computer hasn't let me download it for some reason, but I'd bet the bank that its a great listen. Plus, you can't beat that price.
Also, check out "Black Crosses,"the new song from the highly influential Strung Out. The song is fast and technical, and Jason Cruz' voice sounds stronger than it has in awhile. Agents of the Underground drops September 29, 2009 on Fat.
July 12, 2009
Things are hopefully calming down and I'll be able to start updating the site more often. I was just at Warped Tour today, and a review should be posted soon, along with some reviews, interviews and the second Quarterly Review. The thing that worries me is the fact that my computer may be on the way out. If that happens, updates to the site will be on hold for a little bit. Here's hoping that doesn't happen.
June 28, 2009
Absolutely nothing new was posted in the past three weeks. I've been working nearly around the clock, suffered a concussion and spent a week house sitting at my sister's house, which prevented me from making any updates. My goal is to have at least one album review up by the end of the week, and hopefully an interview and the second Quarterly Review. Keep your fingers crossed.
June 7, 2009
I apologize for the lack of postings. Its camp season, so I'll be working tirelessly from now until July 31. Even though my time will be dedicated to camp, I will still be going to shows and interviewing bands. I have interviews with Pepper, Straylight Run and Good Old War that need to be transposed, and I'm hoping to have more soon. Some album reviews may trickle in as well, along with a Snippet or two. Please be patient and click around the different sections to see what's new.
May 12, 2009
I'm going through all of my old Emails right now, so a lot more updates and interviews may be in the works.
May 10, 2009
To anyone that's ever squeezed out a baby or had their stomach cut open and a baby ripped out of them, Happy Mother's Day! Without a mother, The Playlist wouldn't be here, for better or worse.
May 7, 2009
Check out Straylight Run's Myspace page for a new song and the chance to download "Drain You." Worth your time.
May 7, 2009
Yesterday welcomed Matthew Ryan Johnson into this world. At 7.9 pounds, he looks like a baby should. He's not as much fun as my other nephew, Dylan, who is more playful (newborns sleep a lot), but he's a cute little guy. I find it funny that my sister and brother-in-law get their names from Atlanta Falcons' quarterbacks (their dog is named Vick).
May 2, 2009
Conducting interviews has seemed damn near impossible this year. Every one scheduled has fallen through, usually by my own accord. I was supposed to interview Black President tonight, but my sister is on the verge of labor (making me a two time uncle and first time Godfather in the process) and I had to stay home on nephew duty. I'm supposed to be interviewing Nightmare of You tomorrow, but that all depends on the upcoming birth.
May 2, 2009
Speaking of being a Godfather, I highly suggest watching "The Godfather" saga. All three are worthy of the ten plus hours it will take away from your life. Time well spent. Francis Ford Coppola is the man (also see "The Outsiders").
April 26, 2009
Listen to Classics of Love. You won't be disappointed.
April 26, 2009
I guess I lied about the articles that would be getting posted earlier in the month. They will be on the site one day, and that is pretty much a promise.
April 24, 2009
After picking up Coaster by NOFX on Tuesday, make sure to be careful when taking the CD out of its case. My copy broke as I did this a few minutes ago, leaving me yearning to hear this album, even though it can be heard on Myspace.
April 13, 2009
Getting posted this week will be my "Annual Though Usually Somewhat Wrong 2009 Baseball Predictions," "2009 First Quarter Review," and "The Top 25 Albums That Have Impacted My Life." These are all mostly written, and they'll be posted once they get typed.
March 29, 2009
Check out a new NOFX song, "The Quitter," here: here. I've had a long and tiring weekend, so all I can say is that its a good song; I just wish it were faster.
March 23, 2009
I just didn't say when.
March 16, 2009
More Snippets coming soon...
March 2, 2009
Things this week that I learned certain bands are doing that I find particularly admirable: Sharks Come Cruisin' have a designated driver incentive at their shows. If you're the designated driver and can pass a sobriety test at the end of the show, then your ticket price will be refunded. This is especially commendable considering their style of sea shanty punk rock brings a huge drinking crowd.
Also, people that are part of Jimmy Buffett's
fanclub have to do fundraising or community service every year to get a first dibs crack at his concert tickets. While they still have to pay up the ass for them, its a nice gesture to say the least.
February 16, 2009
For someone that likes blood and guts, Travis Barker's surgery blog is a must see. The thing I find most amazing is that he's having surgery on one of the few parts of his skin that doesn't seem to be tattooed.
February 16, 2009
Converge will be entering the studio in March to begin recording their follow up to the outstanding No Heroes. The album will eventually drop on Epitaph, and according to Deathwish publicist, Nicole Hollis-Vitale, who has heard the demos: "you're currently jealous."
February 9, 2009
Always the forward thinkers, Propagandhi have "released" two songs from Supporting Caste, which comes out on March 10 via G7 Welcoming Committee/Smallman Records. Instead of giving them away for free or letting people pick their price, that in turn would go to the band, fans get to choose from three causes Propagandhi supports and donate money towards one of them in turn for the two songs. The causes are Sea Shephard Conservation Society, Partners in Health (the one I donated to), and PETA 2. The most they're asking for is $10 (though you can donate as little as $1), which may seem like a lot of money for two songs, but Propagandhi are doing something more important than just the music.
February 9, 2009
I don't know why I haven't listened to these songs before, but the two songs Thursday have previewed thus far are really good. "Friends in the Armed Forces" is kind of dancy, but done in a post hardcore way that Thursday damn near brought to the masses. "Resuscitation of a Dead Man" is probably the most emotionally powerful Thursday song since "Understanding in a Car Crash." Common Existance drops next Tuesday on Epitaph.
February 8, 2009
Does anyone know why the Cleveland Cavaliers wore Laker colors today when they played the Lakers? It was an odd thing to see, but a good thing since they lost (the only time I've rooted for the Lakers).
January 26, 2009
I'm digging the posted songs from Two Tongues, who are releasing their debut album February 3 via Vagrant Records. I dig the vibe and the duel vocals of Chris Conley and Max Bemis works tremendously well. This is an album that will be attaching itself to a lot of peoples' ears.
January 19, 2009
Good luck Barack Obama. I challenge all McCain fans and/or Obama haters to wake up tomorrow with an open mind. At least give the man a chance.
January 19, 2009
Speaking of Obama, the HBO Special, "We Are One Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial," is as moving as its title is long. Pete Seeger (with the help of Bruce Springsteen and Seeger's grandson) leading the crowd in Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" was touching, and Beyonce's "America the Beautiful" follow up was just as good. It seemed a little too much and a little "too Hollywood," but it also gave me a sense of Patriotism that I hadn't had in a long time. I hope it doesn't fade.
January 18, 2009
Stolen from the postings of punknews.org, Neko Case has posted her first single, "People Got a Lot of Nerve," on the Anti website (or you can just click her name. Its a great song that will be available until February 3, exactly a month before her new album, Middle Cyclone, drops. Read the links for information about how downloading this song also benefits the Best Friend's Animal Society.
January 18, 2009
I hit an updating wall the past couple weeks, but a not a whole lot has been going on. Propagandhi will be releasing Supporting Caste on March 10 through G7 Welcoming Committee and Smallman Records.
January 4, 2009
Watching "Nostradamus: 2012" is really scaring the daylights out of me. December 21, 2012 seems to be coming really quick, which may suck if these people and ancient cultures are right.
January 4, 2009
On a lighter note, Fake Problems have two songs posted on their Side One Dummy band page. These songs will be released on It's Great to Be Alive (odd due to the above post), which will be released on February 17. They're shooting a video for "The Dream Team" (which will also be available on a 7" which is out on January 20) on January 10 and will be touring with Murder by Death soon.
January 4, 2009
Fans that have been jonesing for a new season of Flight of the Conchords can check out the first episode here. Lots of laughs are to be had.
January 2, 2009
Being sick the past two days (a great way to start the new year), and stuck in bed watching TV, I did get some musical insight. Pete Seeger was probably the first straight edge musician, stating in the DVD documentary "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song" that he didn't drink or smoke. He also quit the uber popular folk quartet The Weavers because they were going to do a cigarette commercial because "they needed the money." He said that he "didn't need the money that bad" and left the band.
Also, Alice Cooper is one of the most enjoyable interviewees. Watching an E True Hollywood Story about the wives of musicians, Cooper was talking about divorce, making fun of musicians that get confused when they get divorced from their fourth stripper, by saying "What'd you expect, she's a stripper?"
January 2, 2009
To celebrate 20 years of being a band, the Bouncing Souls are releasing their song a month album, which is a pretty unique way to release music. The first song, "Gasoline," has already hit the internet, available for a $.99 download. I'd suggest paying the $11.99 up front to get all twelve songs (which will be released the first of each month), and then four bonus tracks at the end of the year. I look forward to seeing how this experiment turns out.
