I like Andrew Jackson Jihad for their catchy hooks and dark lyrics that make me laugh. The lyrics suck me in, as they're good stories put to acoustic punk rock. The three songs on this split don't do all that much for me. The writing seems lackluster, almost a half assed effort. There's good parts, but this is a pass overall.

I don't know a whole lot about O Pioneers!!!, but the songs on here are decent. They have that energy fans of No Idea Records love. The vocals are a mix between a scream, a talk and a howl. The guitar riffs are pretty good and everything moves along at a nice pace. This is what kids with beards listen to during their basement keg parties.
