Breather Resist provide us lucky listeners with two new songs on this 7 inch record. In typical Breather Resist fashion, these songs stretch the boundries of hardcore songwriting.
"Xs and Yx" is an odd piece of music that, while I appreciate its outside the box thinking, don't enjoy it all that much until the ending. The music is driven by the drums with feedback adding an eerie feeling while a guy just talks in an insane voice that doesn't sound that much removed from a lunatic describing a murder. Its kind of cool to listen to, but it gets on my nerves really quickly, though the ending is very cool and gives the song a nice twist.
"Tongues/Stain Sheets" is an actual song that is heavy as all fuck. Its a heavy rock number with a driving beat that is a good time to listen to, and has some sexual audio at the end.
The skull artwork is pretty cool and this comes on red vinyl, so fans of colored vinyl can appreciate it. This should only be purchased by die hard Breather Resist fans, as it only gives one true song, but its a damn good one.
