Hot Water Music

August 2, 2011

New Hot Water Music is always welcome, especially when it features a song as good “The Fire, The Steel, The Tread.” Said song holds things back a little bit, which adds to its aura. There’s sincerity laced in hooks that will have the listener practically whispering along, instead of singing these lyrics at a full shout. This is a song I’ve been listening to constantly lately.

“Adds Up to Nothing” is more of a rock number that brings songs off the Caution album to mind, though the vocals are, again, held back a little. This works really well, as there is still a lot of legstomping energy throughout the song.
