Paint it Black-Amnesia
Bridge 9
June 16, 2009
Dan Yemin seems to be getting angrier with age, and that keeps making for greater and greater Paint it Black albums. At only five songs long, this EP (I'm sure everybody knows this is part of a four EP series) is more of a tease than anything else, but a damn good one at that.
These songs have so much passion, aggression and speed, but its the underlying melody that makes them so special. The effort they put into their songs show, and they add little touches that almost everyone can enjoy. They haven't done anything different but progress, layering their sound to become more complete, which I didn't think was possible. I will probably mention during each of my EP reviews that they are one of the best current hardcore bands out there.
